This steamed cod recipe is a blank canvas for sauces and flavors. I personally like to pair with a bold salad, like this panzanella for maximum contrast!
Steamed Cod Recipe
- 1 pound non-frozen cod filets
- 1 lemon (cut into wedges)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Put 1 inch of water in the bottom of a large pot and bring to a boil. Place fish into the steamer basket, then place the basket into the pot. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes, looking for 145 deg F.
- When fish is finished, remove from steamer basket onto a plate. Slightly sprinkle with the salt and a squeeze of lemon.
